E46 Hazard Double Flash DIY?

I've seen some youtube videos of E46s that have a double flash with the hazards instead of the boring flash. Does anyone have any clue how to do this?

Generally, this.

However the option is not available for every model / year in PASoft.
I've found pre-facelifts have it, and facelifts don't.
