After leaving the car parked outside overnight it always shakes and runs rough when i start it. When i start driving and the car warms up it idles much better even tho it still doesnt idle perfectly smooth. What could the problem ? Did the walnust blasting and new plugs installed couple weeks ago.

Not necessarily the programming. Mine makes the vanos tick until the a good 10 minutes its warmed up a bit. Might need new plugs/coils. I replaced my plugs and it helped a little bit but I should have done coils as well.

Did you get the PPK or even get the MHD programming off of google play? Might also want to look at the 1addicts forum as well. MaxBimmer is mostly geared towards to older gen BMWs. You can get any info or DIY off n54addicts/1addicts web forum. (Sorry for posting those names, remove if needed admins).

Rough cold start after sitting overnight and not after just a few hours or minutes = leaky injectors.

Check with BMW, there is a long standing recall on the N54 injectors.

Thanks, looked online and found out my cars build date is eligible for the recall. Funny considering the dealer did not mention the recall to me when scanning my key.

I believe this is the service bulletin for it... BMW North America any ways, run this by BMW Toronto and see...

SI B01 02 15

E82 (135i Coupe)
Model Year 2010 produced 8/13/2009 to 2/26/2010

E88 (135i Convertible)
Model Year 2010 produced 7/22/2009 to 2/26/2010

I know when they started showing HPFF issues and the US issued extended warranty and Canada had not they fought for it and got it, not sure if injectors ever worked into that (should have obviously). I suggest calling 2-3 dealers and asking.

My car is a 2008 so this service bulletin doesnt apply to me. I found this recall for my car: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/attac...6&d=1469006040
Hopefully it applies to Canadian customers.

Ouch 2008, let me make a call....one minute

Alright based on my call to one of the better mechanics at BMW here (close friend) no recall on injectors for 2008, however they were replacing them under warranty if they came in and knew via the injector part number if they were the "bad" ones. Again though, no recall

135i cold start idle issue

There was a recall bulletin on them. My father's 2007 335i qualified for them back in 2015, well past his warranty. Maranello BMW did the work.

I'll try and find the work order maybe there's a TSB on there.
