Well I ended up buying a 2011 135i-M Alpina White on Coral Red interior. We bought it with 27k on it and it just rolled past 40k this week. Tomorrow we will going out East Coast with it, probably around 4k round trip. So far no real issues besides an rpm jump at idle when you stop. Other then that it's just been oil change and pure enjoyment!

How do you seize an engine? did you have it sit for a long time?

engine

my car will ready this Thursday ready to roll again, I am also fixing all the production issue, the up and down idle is a very common issue, it was the first time for the car to break down in 5 years, never experience any the production trouble, fuel pump, injector or raddle waste gate, the thing about those car, used part are impossible to find here in Canada that is why I put a new engine, a used one from USA would of cost me the same. more likely, eventually you will mod it than you will see why the car is so popular.

enjoy your long weekend

Ron

at 100k km

For manual cars - clutch may go around now.
Intake valve cleaning.
Water pump may die and leave you stranded.
Wastegate rattle on turbos. Within 8 years or 82k miles (MILES), you can get a replacement from BMW for free. Otherwise, you're out $3k-$5k.

Just had to do all new brakes (rotors, pads & sensors), sounds a little early to me! (RUSTED with only one winter on the car)
$1350 @ Town&Country.
New winter rubber all around yesterday, needs new summer rears next spring.
definitely Bring More Wallet

The clutch should last a lot longer than 100k km. Most people get at least double that. Is it different on the turbo variants?

Sorry to say, but you kind of did that to yourself.

If you did the labour yourself you would've spent less than half - with OEM parts. (or even cheaper if you prefer aftermarket)
