Got my 135i :D

Space gray, 2009, 45k miles (75k km) on it. Clean title.

M-Sport, Premium & Sports package and NOTHING else. No comfort access, no parking sensors, no cold weather package.
AFE dual cone intake
RPI quad exhaust
TurboTuner chip inline with the TMAP sensor
Carbon Fiber mirror covers, splitter, diffuser and trunk lip spoiler.
H&R Sport springs
Koni Shocks.
6 spd manual.

I just got it 3 weeks ago. Already starting to work on it. From the PPI, it had low boost codes (probably a result of the TurboTuner), misfire in cyl 1 (fixed by PO before delivery - new coil+plug) and a little bit of paint damage on the front and rear bumpers.

I went for a spark plug change across the first 3 banks today since I had another misfire in cyl 3. Found out that the valve cover gasket is seeping oil slightly into cyl 3, so that's a weekend project down the road. Plugs were worn out badly. Car runs great now.

Having a lot of fun, but miss the LSD in my E36 M3 for sure. Turbo wastegate rattle is irritating. When a car wants to be luxurious, it shouldn't feel raw. If it feels raw, it shouldn't be luxurious. This car is neither luxurious nor raw - and I'm not sure I like that. Suffers from irritating build quality issues - stupid interior trim rattles.

In a lot of ways, this car made me want WRX STi a lot more. More trackable - I'm in California - and better interior build quality. Just a little uglier.

Anyways, I'm on board. Tell me of things I should look out for and what I should do with my car! Any ideas on how I can get an LSD in here without shelling out more than $3500?

1addicts will probably be a better site to give you a solution.

Congrats though! sounds like a sweet ride. Love the 135i's!

I hear you, I also went from an e36 M3 to a 135I. I have done a few things to mine cosmetically and in my mind the car looks absolutely gorgeous. However, I feel your pain with the interior rattles, they drive me insane! If you figure out any ways to stop them let me know!

If your car still has the run flats on it I would suggest replacing those asap! I put some continental DWs on and the ride quality and grip improved dramatically! Other than that it's been a reliable car that I have been happy with overall, it does seem to turn a lot of heads and it is very quick around the track

I have changed the angel eyes to LED which is a MUST as it improves the look quite a bit. I also painted the rear valance black as it came that stupid grey colour that matched nothing. The front grills were replaced with black ones and as you can see from the pics I added cf hood and spoiler and had the rims powder coated. The result makes the car stand out a bit more than stock but imo still looks clean and not cheesy

I run the Bimmerboost backend flash on my n54 335xi along with the JB4 unit and im producing over 500hp. Running just the backend flash has dyno'd to 420bhp to the wheels on a stock system. The additional HP comes from the JB4. Ive added a few other goodies such as AA FMIC, AA Diverter pipe and AA Blow-off valve as well as a CAI. Running 14.5lbs boost using 93 octane. Did a lot of reserch on the JB4 vs Cobb and love the steering wheel controls on the JB4 and that it's hidden in the ECU compartment. Ran USB to the glovebox for updates. I have a BT cable required for the Bimmerboost flash and 20A charger required for the programming. I can help with the JB4 install if you go that way.

JB4 is illegal in Canada.

Got a sinking feeling in my tummy when I realized my RPi exhaust has no cats which means I won't be able to bring my car into BMW to ask for warranty work regarding the wastegate rattles.

In need of a stock set of cats/pipes now and those aren't cheap...even used (if I can find one)/
