WTB: 2003.5 and later E46 M3 6MT

Hi guys,

I'm located in Toronto, and currently looking for an E46 M3.
As mentioned in the title, I'm looking for a relatively newer model year.
Must have is a 6MT, and less than 130,000km and relatively well maintained.

My budget is $18,000~ $20,000 CAD depending on the condition.

Thanks,

Kevin

the taillight (led) upgrade came mid year.

there's really no difference between e46's before and after 2003. i added led tails to my 2002 and it looks identical. couple of the colours weren't available in early production cars, there was no BMW assist, or ZCP package.

if you're going to spend 20K, try to find a ZCP

I just wanted a relatively newer car and even 2003.5 is still a stretch for me. I really couldn't find a ZCP (only introduced in 2005) with rather low mileage @ $20k tho.

under 130k would be very low mileage, remember even an 05 is 11 years old now, very few people drive cars less than 15k/year

also, between my two s54's i've had a half million km's on them, the s54 motor rock solid with good maint.

Very true, but it's more of a personal preference I guess.
This will be my DD, so I don't want something that is very high mileage to begin with.
It just appears that there are not many M3s in Canadian market. Will have to look south if I can't find one soon even with current exchange rate...

Agreed. The car is a lot for its money for sure. I've only been in the search for a couple of weeks, so I think I'll wait and see the market for a little longer.

If you're making it a daily driver, it doesn't seem to make sense to pay a premium for a low mileage car as you will rack up those mileage anyways and be subject to more depreciation vs. already buying on that's taken the high mileage hit.

Just my $0.02.

@dbworld4k Good point.
It will be my DD, but my range for this car will be max 15K km/yr, as I have two other vehicles... hence the wish to get a relatively low mileage vehicle.

Sure, it makes sense to pay a premium for a cleaner. I was just saying it doesn't for a low KM one if the intention is to rack up the miles, though the two sometimes do go hand in hand but not always.
