indeed i am. the 3.0 is powering a set of 5 1/4 MB Quarts up front and a set of 4" MB's on the rear deck.

6.0 is powering a JL 10 in a ported box. Not hard to tell where the weakest link is there But for sizing issues, the JL is in a tiny box, so i have plenty of trunk space to spare

your power out put is the same, becusae the 3.0 running 2 ohm st and 6.0 is runnig 4 ohm mono, you can run 6.0 to 1 ohm mono and that is 3 4 ohms woofers, if you did not know...

I was thinking more of pulling the 10" and replacing it with 2 -12"s. I've had occassion where i've needed to pull my subs to reclaim trunk space, so having a small box that I can swap out would allow me the luxury of still having bass when I need the extra cargo room.

At least, that's how my convoluted mind works

it's been awhile, so i'm a bit groggy on this, but if i run 3 subs with DVC in full parallel, how much of a load would that present to the amp?

^^^3 dvc subs would be bad,6 4ohms is a dead shrot .00001 ohms, what I ment is single 4 ohms which = 1ohms, but very safe about it, run 3 8ohms and that is 2 ohms, and the 6.0 can handle that...

I was actually thinking about picking up 2 Boston Acoustic G512s, and running them DVC in parallel which if not mistaken, should provide a 1 ohm load. Now my math might not be what it used to be, but I know i've had the 6.0 running at about a 1/2 ohm before, and she never let me down. The joys of a 1/4 ohm stable amp!

I'm hoping. Although I'm not the bass head I once was, and I definitely prefer SQ over SPL, it's nice to be able to feel the thump every once and awhile
