Dredd and Django Greatest Movies of All Time

saw django yesterday. tarantino is a fantastic filmmaker but the film wasn't serious at all, it was entertaining and the cinematography was great, but i was laughing my ass off at what an egomaniacal asshole quentin is more than anything else.

Lawless was fantastic.

Dredd was a disappointment. Hate to say it but Stallone did a better job than Karl Urban.

greatest of all time not even close... would not even say best of 2012.

Prometheus, Skyfall, Dark Knight Rises hell even avengers all better then both django and Dredd IMO. But noone can disagree this was an amazing year for good movies!

if anyone just bought the classics of 2012 they would have a pretty respectable collection

Avengers .. I expected more .. I wouldn't be surprised if someone told me Avengers was made by Walt Disney.

Someone in this thread mentioned Lawless .. I ended up watching it

It was a boring, boring, boring movie.

The essence of the movie is some random one liners, the kids screaming, the parents screaming, the kids screaming, the parents blaming all their problems on their parents, the kids screaming, and an ending that doesn't solve any of their problems (business going under/etc/etc.)

I get it, I get how it is a good representation of the 40 somethings with kids, and all the hurdles, etc.

I just found the movie too long and boring.

I agree. My wife and I loved it but all of my single friends didn't.

I think a lot of people went into it expecting an action movie (which it isn't) and were therefore bored by it.
