For Sale 2002 Titansilber ZHP?

For Sale 2002 330i in Titanium silver with black leather. This car was built a few months before the start of ZHP production, but was special ordered with ALL of the ZHP equipment spec'ed out as individual options. What are the odds that someone would special order a car fully spec'ed out with exactly the same hardware as a ZHP, and built just a couple of months before the start of ZHP production? It is way too much of a coincidence. Is it a pre-production ZHP, or is it the car that inspired the ZHP? You decide... This car is a 2002 330i built on 2002-09-13 with standard (5 speed) transmission and ordered with the following options: 210 Dynamic stability control, 225 sports suspension, 249 multi function steering wheel, 338 M sports package II, 403 glass elec. sunroof, 431 self-dimming mirror, 441 smoking package, 459 electric seat adjust with memory, 488 lumbar support driver & Pass, 495 3 point belts and three rear headrests, 502 headlight cleaners, 521 rainsensor, 522 Xenon headlights, 534 automatic AC, 548 kilometer dash, 650 CD player, 674 Harmon Kardon Hifi, 692 CD changer prep, 710 M sports steering wheel, 716 M aerodynamics package II, 760 gloss black shadowline trim, 770 interior aluminum cube pattern on dash, 775 anthracite headliner, 789 M individual lightmetal wheels (Style 72 staggered 18" x 8"F, 8 1/2" rear with 255/35-18 and 225/40-18 fresh Pirelli P zero Neros), 818 battery shutoff, 838 Canada destination, 896 daytime driving lights, 925 custom option package (!), 354 green band windshield, 411 electric windows, 473 armrest, 520 foglights, 550 onboard computer, 645 US radio, 661 business radio, 823 hot climate package, 832 batterie in trunk, 845 acoustic belt warning, 853 english version, 876 radio frequency 315MHz, 992 licence plate attach, It does also have some engine mods, which may be the retrofitted ZHP engine upgrades, which was available from the dealer as an upgrade kit, but I am not certain. It certainly moves better than my other 330i M pack does, and feels just like my 2005 ZHP. In the last 30,000KM the car has had replaced: the clutch, thermostat, belts, pulleys, idlers, DISI, oil control valve (winter insulated version), ALL engine hoses, ALL engine sensors, O2 sensors, filters, plugs (NGK Iridium) brakes, tires, hedgehog (FSR), new ZHP shiftknob. At 140,000KM it received all new shocks, suspensions bushings, rod ends, etc. Interior is in excellent condition; no rips or damage to the leather at all.
The bad: there is a little rust forming at the bottom of the driver's door. There is a bit of a scrape on the passenger rocker panel. The front hood has been replaced and the front fenders have been re-painted (probably due to a small parking lot accident by a previous owner). The good: this car out handles my E46 M pack and my previous M3's, and matches my 2005 ZHP corner for corner. It is a fabulous handling , nimble car that never fails to put a smile on my face. Pictures will be posted below. asking $9000 OBO.

interesting car. so is option '925' the engine upgrades you are mentioning? do you have any other details on that?

how many KMs are on the car? more pictures, especially interior, would help.

Hi Slater, As I understand it code 925 is a custom option code that can be defined by the buyer/dealer. I do not know if that code was used on my car for some for some engine mods or not. I do know that this car definitely has some engine mods. It has a Mototek airbox installed, and the first time I drove it I immediately noticed that it revs out better than a normal 330i. I have had quite a few E46 330i cars. I have a 2005 330i with M sports package that I have owned from new, and I also have a 2005 ZHP, and I can tell you that this 2002 runs like the ZHP, not like a stock 330i engine. I will post up some more pictures of the interior soon. The interior is in excellent condition. The Odometer shows just over 200,000km. BTW I am planning to sell this car on its original Staggered Style 72 M wheels (shown in the wheel close-up) with Pirelli P Zero Neros, which are an excellent tire for this car. The style 135's are borrowed from my 2005 ZHP.

I have had a few questions about this car from MAXmembers. As far as rust is concerned, I encourage interested potential buyers to look at the car and judge for yourself. I wanted to be honest and highlight the rust I see on the bottom of the door, but I do not see any other areas that concern me. The decklid is good and that's usually the worst area. The front hood has been replaced and the front fenders have been repainted. The paint on those three panels is a bit stonechipped, because its a little softer than the factory paint. As far as the engine mods are concerned I was completely convinced that I had a true ZHP until I pulled the BMW build sheet at the dealer, and saw the actual build codes. It has that "custom" option code, so it was definitely a special order car with some cool features. I own a few of these cars now and have previously owned a bunch more; four E46's when they were new including an E46M3, and others since. I can tell you that this car is definitely faster than a stock E46 330i. I do not know what is inside the engine, and I have no intention of tearing the engine down to find out. It has a Mototec air filter housing installed so for sure it is not 100% stock. The dealer told me that the ZHP engine mods were available as an over-the-counter kit package from the parts departments at the dealers, and some cars were retrofitted with these kits later by the owners. The parts manager at our local dealership here suggested that my car may have had this package installed by the owner (The parts manager owns a ZHP too). As I have said I do not know for sure...but it is FAST...like ZHP fast. I also owned an E36M3 that I drove for 250,000 (and I also have an E30S52 now). This car is not M3-fast, but its definitely ZHP-fast.

Here are some interior pictures. The interior is in good shape with no rips or tears in the leather.

The regular 330s redline at 6500RPM while the ZHP redlines at 6800RPM (although in Canada the gauge cluster was not changed, so Canadian 330s with the M Performance Package did not get red needles or an indicated raised redline on the tachometer).

It's not a ZHP

2002-09-13 means that it's a 2003 car, not 2002. Option 338 tells you exactly what that car is. It a 330i with an M Sport package. I don't know where you got the 925 description but it's absolutely wrong. Option 925 is a transportation protection package. Means you car was sprayed with wax which was removed at port.

I could be convinced to sell the style 135's separately.
