All that will change when you hear the noise coming from the car you're driving

That's no reason to no like a superior technology

That's like saying you won't drive a BMW because most believe people that drive European cars are douchebags.

Boost is one thing that keeps you coming back for more

Countless others too. Most of these cars are set conservatively from the factory, BUT, are not meant to be boosted to within an inch of their lives! So often, this is seen in the used car market. Used Turbo buyers beware!
My brother had 2 GT's and a GTX. Man I want a GT so bad! But they're so hard to find in good condition, let alone find in general. They couldn't take more then 12psi without a chip, but they had a fuel cut at 12psi anyways.

you can always bypass or completely take the fuel cut off. But this is the reason turbo cars suffer. People abuse them and modify them without making sure they do any precaitionary modifications (e.g. fuel pump, cooling never overboost, make sure they let them cool down after extensive abuse). Proof is my old nissan. 180.000km on the original turbo (t25). Eventually it gave way when i hit a puddle of water after some abuse i gave it and caused the exhaust side to crack!
