Hey

Good job Rudy, couple of nice saves there. Looks also like your dad has the CSL running again. All good news.

Hey John, thanks buddy! And yes, the CSL is finally back in shape... nice and square again! The entire rear end is now rebuilt, beefed up trailing arms, rebuilt cv joints, new axle flanges, etc...

You really wind that thing out and keep it well above 3,500... LOL

What flywheel are you running at the moment, still the dual mass? I just dropped an 11lb. 228mm flywheel/clutch in mine, so far it feels amazing!

Yeah, I gotta eat my sock about that... I said I wouldn't, but I was so antsy to get the thing together, I just left it... and haven't had a chance to take it back out yet. I still plan to swap in an M20 flywheel, and use the starter I got from you. I will hopefully get everything ready to go over winter (the starter gear mixmatching) so it's ready to install in the spring!

But for the most part though, it won't really make much faster than it is in the video... I expect it to just feel a bit more lively, and I'm eager for that!

Nice vid. Car is squirrelly in the esses and looks predictable everywhere else. Was that a test and tune day? I have been passed by those cascar stock cars before, they move.

Sieya Motorsport lapping day aka Driveteq group. Great group, tons of track time at Mosport GP

Lol thanks man! Nope, track was fine. Looking back and thinking about the vid, I think it was my shifting that wasn't matching revs well enough, and it would momentarily slow the rear wheels too much, almost like setting it up to drift.

My thought pattern on the wild slide halfway through the vid was sure I was going to lose it. But I just kept giving it more and more opposite lock and eventually it came back before I ran out of road

I know I know, I was just teasin the same thing happened to me but before turn 3 and I'd end up near the edge many times from correcting, then Mr. Goriup said, stop downshifting and keep it in 4th.... (Probably the smartest thing I've heard him say) and I haven't looked back since

I've got lots of stuff to update on, but kind of strapped for time to write everything that's happened in the last little while... Although, I can say proudly that this coming June 17-19 weekend, the car will see its first race!!!! Come on out and cheer on the little 2002 in this years Canadian Historic Grand Prix at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park aka MOSPORT! Woohoo!

Last pic of the car before it gets sticker bombed!

And, as of today, one week before the event starts, there are a registered 59 cars racing in this particular class I'll be racing in. Holy crapballs!

Re 1st Race

Hey Rudy good on you brother. The car looks great. Wishing you good luck. Then the following week you can bring your trophy and the 02 to Tedfest to show us.
