After sitting for 3 years, 2016 will be the year of the comeback! The plan is to run 3 of the Calabogie Platinum Challenge races.

Decided to go a different route with the brakes/axles, and upgraded everything to m3 parts. Also picked up a spare race LSD that I hope to re-gear to 3.73:1 ratio (the one I have now is 3.91):

Finally back on all 4 wheels:

Switched back from the e30 brake master cylinder to the e36 (bigger bore = stiffer pedal):

Before:

After:

Replaced my bent mishimoto rad with a new/used fluidyne rad:

Last week I stopped at Perry Performance and picked up a few new goodies too:

old vs. new:

Got the window net placement finalized with the new seat too:

Next on the list is to get all the nozzles placed for the fire system, build a proper battery box, change all the fluids, redo the rad ducting, and a good nut and bolt check.

Thanks guys

Well I have not kept this thread updated...

2016 was amazing. Barrie @ Midnight Tuning Solutions helped me out with a retune at the beginning of the season, and after cleaning out the cobwebs, it was all uphill from there!

I won every race I started in the Calabogie Platinum series, and ended up PT2 champion.

2017 was uneventful though: my daughter was born Feb 18, 2017 so that took up all of my time and energy .

But 2018 will be a comeback year!

By the end of 2017, my engine was starting to show signs of wear, which is understandable since it was built in 2010! So this winter I decided to do a full tear down and rebuild + a bit extra...

I picked up a 2-post lift from a friend in 2017 and set that up... Working off jsckstands all the time was getting old

Also had to make sure she really was my daughter...

First parts were a big bore throttle body from Riot Racing & a new power steering reservoir, lines & cooler from Chase Bays:

Next up was pulling the motor & disassembly:

Picked up 42# injectors, an s54 oil filter housing & Mishimoto oil cooler & AN hose adapter fitting:

I sent the motor off to the machinist and everything is looking good.

The S52 cams were sold and a set of custom CatCams are being manufactured & should be shipping by the end of the month. With these cams, I'm hoping for over 275whp out of this build. In order to make that happen reliably, I also picked up a VAC oil pump upgrade kit, ARP head & main studs, Eagle connecting rods, new headers

I'll also be having a full exhaust built by Yonaka this spring to mate up with the headers.

So now I'm just waiting for the engine to be done at the machine shop, and the assembly will begin!
