235/40/17, yeah.

Just keep in mind they won't be nearly as capable as the other 3 I've recommended in standing water. Take it easy on the highway in the rain, trust me.

Their longitudinal grip is also lower, especially in the wet.

They are similar, but the 615 has new compounds.

And nylon sidewalls instead of 100% steel, brings down the weight. Still, they get greasy when pushed for a long time on the track, their best grip temperature is stone cold.

Have you had them before?
Thats not good that they get greasy when hot, I might have to rethink them then, very bad for characteristic for track use.

Well, that was in relatively wimpy 205 and 195 widths, but you have to remember that the target for these tires is one auto-x run. Then cooldown between runs. The grip is amazing, however don't expect to go out for 20 laps, but it also depends on how much you are (over) driving them.

Then again, any street tire will get greasy after abouit 10 laps, only R compounds will help there.

Exactly, if anything, the Falken will get greasy a bit sooner, however it still grips and still is very predictable. This tire is as close to R-comp as you can get without going to r-comps. Once you wear this set out, look into R-comps, it actually saves money in the long run, much less tire wear, and a set lasts a full season (with lots and lots of grip).

I ran them hard at Sebring, they are good, but they showed their limits too. Good daily tire, but the other tires here are stickier.

So the RT-615 is a AutoX tire, not really a track tire.

Plus if ur looking for an amazing rain tire, the Toyo T1R's are AMAZING. I ran mosport with Zim Zimma, and they hooked like it was dry out.

There were quite a few ppl running them at Sebring, the Falkens.

I'm not saying there are an auto-x only tire, it's just that their ideal conditions are autox. Remember that if you are running steam roller sized tires, overheating will be more difficult, and the tires will run cooler. To put it in perspective, with 195/60/14 RT-215's the tires temps were 45*C hotter than on 225/50/14 RA-1's, at Shannonville, and I was pushing the RA-1's a lot harder.
