I have a 2002 m3 cabrio and my cousin has a 01 540, he's giving me his dubbs they are 19's triple chrome crazy ass rims, "i simply love them" but i'm affraid they wont fit. We havnt done the trade or the fitting jus thought i ask the friendly smart maxbimmer dudes first..

the rims are 19's the rubber is 275/30/zr19 and there off a 01-02 bmw 540

i found these rims on ebay that are the exact same and this is the exact same car i have colour and style excpet my interior is black, but the rims are for the 540 but the exact same rims and style, first off what u guys think adn second will they fit. i want these rims. plus i'm getting the family discount. lol.. thinks guys hope someone can help me out.

first off dubs mean that are 20", so 19" are not dubs, the tire size you gave 275/30/19's are the rears, I'm guessing the fronts are 245/35/19's right, I also believe the offset is wrong.

You'll need hubcentric rings for all 4 wheels. They might fit depending on the exact offsets. (I've seen e60 550 rims on an e46 m3). The front will stick out a bit more than stock but it should be ok. It also depends largely on the drop you have as well.

Basically it's trial and error at this point.

BTW- Dubz implies 20's, not shiney

I've heard people say that dubs implies 20"s many times. Which, is true, dubs (when referring to wheels) originated from a slang term for 20. However, there is also now a wheel company called DUB. So, if you have any DUB wheel, are you not "rollin' on Dubs"?

http://www.customwheel.com/custom_wh...oducts_id/1687

Also, according to wikipedia, Dub is also a term for inhabitants of Dublin city. Therefore, if you are rollin' on dubs ... you might mean that a bunch of Irish guys are pushing your ride.

well you think wrong, dubs are 20's. its a fact. what you got is chromies.

besides, 20's are garbage, clarence's car comes stock with 23's

lol... great thread!
on a serious note
your brother's 540 have a different hub diameter than your m3's
so you might need hub centric rings to go with it
also e39s have much lower offsets compare to e46 in general
but yours is a m3 so it "might" fit... give it a test fit~ but dont tighten anything or drive with it though
if the wheel sticks out from the feder abort mission
