e30 price fluctuation

Hello, I'm new to the forum.

So my question is: in the e30 model, why is one car worth more than another? why do people as $2000 and others ask $10000?

I am looking to buy one, since I heard these cars last a long time, and it would be cheap to insure (**** BC), and honestly a 318 manual would be fun and cheap on gas. I am just scared of repair costs, don't want to get a lemon. < Maybe some advice on this

Well, here's a list for Vancouver Craigslist, it is really weird how the prices change.

unless you buy one that is turn key..( $10,000) you are going to spend at least a few thouasand dollars min to get one back to decent shape. And that's parts not labour. So yes it can get expensive but I suggest you start doing alot of DD on these cars before deciding to buy one. the e30 is becoming a very sought after car for it's dependability and quality for when bmw actually stood for something. They handle reasonably well and you can do lots with them. But you need money for these cars. They are 30+ years old and anything used will require some work.

Have you given your question any thought yourself? Why do you think anything would be worth more or less than something else. Some of it is common sense.

Do some research, go see a few and the answer should be apparent to you. If it doesn't, perhaps a new leased 320i is more up your alley. There is nothing wrong with either approach, different cars for different people.
