Wiring !

Trying to hook-up the onboard code alarm to my alpine alarms horn.
The factory horn and wire was removed, and I can't find the source feed for that horn! , the really (green box under the steering column ) clicks for the 20-30 seconds ? but I can't find the dam wires !
Any help would be greatly appreciated ...
Any one with a decent wiring diagram for the e30s feel free to
e-mail it to me thanks !

OBC wiring

This artical is from Strictlyeta.net ,But I get no responce to info request !
I have tach ,and econogauge working, but It doesn't finish explaining about
pin#38, ( wire color ?) As far as I understand, it tie's into the fuel pump relay!

"The two wires that must be bridged from the instrument cluster harness are #6 and #32: Pin #6 is the engine speed output and gives the instrument cluster the signal for the tachometer, while pin #32 is the fuel consumption output and gives the cluster the signal for the econogauge. If you have an OBC with the CODE feature active (and you still want to have it functional), then you'll also have to bridge the wire from pin #38, which is the input signal that enables the driveaway protection. So you'll have to bridge:

- black wire from instrument cluster harness to black wire on engine harness (runs to pin #6)

- yellow/white wire from instrument cluster harness to white/black wire on engiine harness (runs to pin #32). "...

First pic is 87 wires, the second pic is 88 wires , both cars are 325is's ...
I need help ID-ing the wires circled in red .
Any help at all would be greatly appreciated,
I can't amagine the wiring head aches you had Raffa, Wow ! thanks John...

Hi John

I asume that you are talking about pin#:6,32 & 38 at ECM connector. Are you sure that is 325 ECM because pin# 38 is not used. But if you go in to 525's & 535's ECM's than pin # 38 is ASC & ANTI-TEFT(DWA) which is black-violet wire and it goes to OBC pin #24, also there is a connector spliced to the wire from pin# 24 that is not being used. That wire/connector should be black-violet as well. I am not sure if we are on the same page, but let me know.

P.S. My wiring diagrams are not showing existance of 325is model in year 87/88!

Hi Raffa .
As far as I know the info from Strictlyeta.net is for a 86 325e , I can't see there being much difference between e's , i's , or is's but you never know with
BMW.
Doe's your book show the code alarms wire's for any of these modles ? if so what color ?.
My 2 problems are,
I don't know were the sorce for the alarm horn is ( what wire color or were it plugs in ? )
second, I now know #38 is black-violet wire , but I can't find #24 also black-violet wire .
Thanks for all your help Raffa, I really appreciate it .
