ya it does, the 4 door has smaller doors, and the 2 door ones are so heavy at first when u open it for the first time, not like that with 4 door.

that GT2 is so nice n low..i wonder how low randy's will be.

Reason: Rules of that particular racing series. I know with the old British Touring Car series, they wanted Sedans converted to race cars, and all cars were 4 doors, BMW's, Fords, Alfas, etc.

A couple more reasons (for series that aren't sedan specific).

One, the 4-door chassis is stiffer and taller than the 2-door chassis, so more interior room for cage / tall drivers etc.

Two, the 4-door units have full door frames (around the windows), while the 2-doors have frame-less windows. By replacing all 4 windows with lexan you can remove significantly more weight, and have the aerodynamic effects still from the lexan rear windows. Front windows are obviously replaced by netting.

The stiffer chassis is still the single biggest reason people do it.

interesting. I never would have thought that a 4 door e36 would be stiffer than a 2 door. So I guess e36 325 4 door are stiffer than 2 door e36 M3 ?

I always knew that 4 door E36's were lighter because the 2 door's had more reinforcements on the doors. However, I did not know that the 4 door's were stiffer. Thanks for clearing that up Pat

$148,000 EUR is $235,648.81 CAD! Well it only has 32,354km's and it is probably all original so I guess that price is the norm.

GT2 =

when that profile says 350PS is that horsepower or a different measurement for power. if so 350 HP is um quite a bit for a e30 m3. hey rob when are you going to buy one, a real e30 m3 "enthusiast" would have one parked in his garage

ya a 4dr. is better when it comes to racing for those reasons and JON, you can't TELL how heavy a door is when you open it cause its on HINGES!!
(dumbass!!) lol, it just depends how the hinges are made if they're loose or tight!
