i thought that the 850's had the GOOD v12, (reliability wise) i thought it was the CSi's that had the poorly made V12's!!

theblue,

Ever go here? http://bimmer.roadfly.org/bmw/forums/e31/ I guarantee that you will find loads of information. GR8 Ride is correct on the maintence tho. If and when it breaks expect to pay a pretty penny for parts alone since the car is no longer in production. Once the dealer slaps on the NLA on a part....get the KY Jelly out man!

If it were me i would get the 850csi. I have heard that they are the best eight, handling and performance wise, but i dont know how reliable they were.

yeah, but don't forget 850CSI cost almost like 2 850ci.
850csi has M POWER engine, suspension, brakes and other M parts.
