oh i was gunna do dis for my law essay too, but i did gun control instead. A good reason why Pot should be decriminalized is to put less expense on the government and the tax payers for charges of small amounts. Another reason is because a majority of the charges for drugs is for small amounts of pot. A con for decriminalization of pot is that it will be more available for the general public and since it is decriminalized and not illegal, more youths will be tempted to try it. Another Pro is that the government will regulate pot and make it chopped clean. It will be regulated like alcohol and cigerettes. OK last con, we dont know the future side effects of pot, when they legalized tobacco there was not enough research done to it and now all the negative side effects are showing up, will same thing happen with marijuanna?

hope this helps
sincerely, JimZYellow
