i would wait for something better to come out before i'd do something like this. its kinda cheesy but i'm sure we're not far off from installing tablet sized computers and have it perform anything u want, gps, music, movies, + all the stuff computers do. not exactly sure why you'd need that but it will happen.

If it's the 3g ipad then you can do GPS on it, but yeah a tablet in the dash would be better. Like what this guy did to his e46 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=__fzdtUJ8-Q

doubtful that it will fry, but life expectancy may be reduced, but will still last over 4 years easily.

I wonder, in hard corners, will the image flip sideways (or start rotating as you turn)?
