Girlfriend is shopping for a car...

So she's got a 92 Precidia with 280k and it's near death...it's worthless, and I want to keep it for a winter beater since it's dirt cheap on gas.

We've considered a SUV since we like to go camping and could use the cargo space every now and again. I like the ~01 QX4 overall for utility and value for the money. She hates it but loves the X5 as do I, but we can't afford it. We're thinking maybe we should forget about a SUV for now since they're all guzzlers and can get by with just cars.

Her new criteria is Manual Trans and 2 doors.....I wonder why...she drives like Andretti.

So I'm thinking 01 330ci Convertible. It's going to be HER car, but I can borrow it every now and again, hehe.

Thoughts on this particular model? Issues with leaks, squeaks? Other cons?

There is somthing to be said about top down cruising,
but unless your camping with a pup tent, not much room.
All the cars you mentioned are nice rides.
Good luck, I love shopping for new cars.

330 all the way man. Mtech 330 drop top FTW!!! Not too many issues with the 330s, except the common BMW 3 series gremlins. Good car all around.

Go hardtop! Cabs are fun for like 5 days a year. On sunny days you melt with the top down, and the rest of the year u have more road noise with the top up on highway.

get an e46 M3 or 330ci
