Question Daytime running lights?

i own an american 1994 325i and am working on he safety list.. the one mechanic the previous owner brought it too said the DRLS are NFG i was wondering if the american version even had drl and if they do what would cause mine to not come on..? any help is greatly appreciated!!

American cars dont got Day time running lights, go to canadian tire, they got a relay of some sort for like 30 bucks, that will allow you to have DRL on your car.
