Try checking out Jordan's site, www.r3vlimited.com
There's some pretty extensive motor swap threads.

There is a detailed list posted repeatedly in this section, search and find it.

A bone stock M50 isn't going to make the E30 much faster, but the capability to make more power with all kinds of options is there.

Just a quick suggestion...there seems to be a lot of the same threads with the same questions consistently being asked. And, everytime the questions are asked a few people flare up and get all agitated that the topics have been covered extensively in previous threads. I just think that maybe someone who has the power should find these threads and turn them into "stickies". That way nobody would get all pissed that the forums are being crowded with topics that have been covered before, and newbies like me and many others wouldn't need to keep agitating the more experienced users on this site.
I know what you might be thinking, "How hard is it to do a search?" The answer to that is, "Not very." But it's also sorta time consuming. I just think that the good people who run this very useful site could maybe make it more convenient to the users by answering the "dumb" questions that the noobies have before they get a chance to ask them.
This is not to say that this question that Waterwings is asking is dumb. It just made me think about some other threads where I have noticed people asking the same question.
Just my 2 cents, thanks for listening and have a nice day.

Thanks for the suggestion, maybe I'll get around to making an FAQ thread soon.
