You are correct, the old rotary engines are not necesarrily gas efficient. The rotory engine has a very low compression ratio compared to a piston engine. That is part of the reason they stopped making them in the North Amercia in 1995. However the new RENESIS rotary engine that will be in the RX8 is supposed to be a more efficient powerplant.

thank u for helpin me out on that one.....i wasnt sure...cuz lik u said the new ones should be better
