Shell V Power to Ultra 94 / gas millage!

Ultra 94 is rated at 94 octane because it contains ethanol.

In other words, you're buying worse gas at a higher price compared to Shell V-Power.

If you require an octane rating higher than V power 91 and can use it up before it's best before date, Ultra 94 is the way to go. I was not implying that Shell is the best fuel to use but rather the fact that it is ethanol free. I made a point of not using any ethanol fuel in my twin big block marine engines for the reasons I noted as do many other boaters.

What about using octane boost. I used that back in the day for my dirt bike.

That's not entirely true. Yeah, the stuff they sell at Crappy Tire is junk, but there are some legit boosters out there. The only one you might be able to find locally is the AMSOIL Dominator. Independent testing using Shell V power showed a 2 point increase in octane rating.

The best octane booster is VP Racing Fuel
