Just bent over backwards for Rogers wireless

got a damn data bill for $600 not realizing that iPhone updates itself. The only way Rogers was going to wave the data was me signing up for two years on their data plan...How much surfing can you acutally do on 500MB?...so I got voice, unlimited text, call display, call waiting,350 minutes, free weekends, free rogers to rogers and the 500mb data for $65...not bad but I feel so violated...

When do your free weekday nights start? I didn't see that in your list but I'm assuming you got that too. Are you with any company plan?

500MB is plenty, unless you are streaming videos all the time

Not to be an ass but let's see, YOUR mistake caused you to use data, and they offered to save you teh $600 just by having you sign a 2 year agreement with data, and gave you decent deal to boot. Not really sure how that's bending you over, but anyways.

Not really sure how much 500MB would be on an iPhone, I have a blackberry and I browse soemtimes, use GPS a lot and whatnot and I have never went over 50MB a month. But blackberry compresses their data so it would be way more on an iPhone. I suggest taking it easy for the first month, do some light browsing and GPS use and see how much you use and just use your judgement.

Well it is kind of your fault for using a data phone without a data plan. Considering your circumstances, I'd say they did you a favor. All of us with a data plan have to sign a contract.

I told Rogers to block all data from the start, they delayed it for one month. That month I got hit....soooo they knew deep down knew it was 50/50 mistake...I hate to lock into any cell plan, this time I decided wtf the monthly plan isnt that bad so we compromised.......

Ouch, gotta watch those data charges. I say go with the data plan.
If all your doing is browsing 500mb should be enough.

Bahhahaha i pay 30 bucks a month with unlimited daytime evenings after 5 and full unlimited weekends, 200 daytime minutes a month but that's just enough for me... don't need no caller id or voicemail. I don't know why people get so carried away with phones? I just carry my cell with me all the time

^I was never fan of monthly cellphone service. It was funny cuz I used my minutes and called it a day. When I was on vacation, I bought a sim card there and all good. So guess what? My brother wanted to be smart with his monthly plan that comes in mail. He took his phone with him on vacation. And than the socker comes. 2K bill in the mail heheheheheheeheheh.

Add in the unlimited data plan I have plus email to 10 accounts another $15
