Very nice build... good luck with the project. Even with the stock 2.3L you will find that it is quite a preformer for any sort of twisties. I didn't quite enjoy the car until I took it to Mosport and it was plenty of fun.

You will love it when you are done!

s14

The S14/M3 is retardedly fast on the track...my car is track only and is just a hair over 2000 pounds with a complete stripped/caged/seam welded body...still running a stock gas tank, and stock 318 brakes with Hawk pads and new Brembo rotors.

Stupid fast and only a newer Mini Cooper S can out break it!

Pace should be pretty quick now, going to measure out the shims for the cams and keep moving along.

Gawd that looks like an awful lot of work. I can, in no way, imagine myself being able to do this. Very impressive.

Why didn't you put the front cover on before putting the head on?

Didn't have my gasket spray for paper gaskets so wanted to wait for that. It slots in pretty easy still I checked.

I hope to have it in the car and running very soon. Don't plan to drive the car much, just break in the motor and make the rest of the car nice for next season over the winter.
