Jumping a little ahead here

I'll post up the pictures in between soon, it's on my friends camera.

It's going in tomorrow

Oh yeah and before anyone says anything about the fram filter it's for break in, coming off after about 30 minutes of running. Damn thing was still $14 bucks, there is literally nothing cheap you can put on this motor, even a fram oil filter is overpriced.

Drove it home last night, it was running like a top. Only issue i had when first got it started was it was idle hunting, traced that down to a transistor on the ecu for the icv. I think I understand why everyone says keep the s14, it kind of makes the car by the way it sounds and the way the power comes on. Couple things that surprised me was how comfortable the car is and I felt like I was in a lambo or something by the amount of looks the car was getting considering I still have work to get the body where I want it. Plan to take care of that over the winter.

I'll try to get a video up to finish the thread off.

Awesome dude, glad to hear you got it running!! Can't wait to see it.

You gonna drive it much before winter? Or is it just going to get locked up as is right now and worked on? You should have a little fun with it while the body is still rough.. haha.

Thanks, I've been driving it on a dealer plate at night for the past couple nights. I've put about 200 kms on it so far, it starts in one crank and has been working great. I restored the paint with a zainos kit, clay bar then swirl remover, cleaner and wax. It came out really good, I'm going to try paintless dent removal and got some touch up paint. I might only end up needing to repaint the spoiler, passenger side sideskirt and the front bumper. Also need a new sunroof panel. It should look pretty decent from there. Not perfect but a 5-10 foot car if you know what I mean. One day I'll make it mint but I want to drive it without caring for now.

Anyone know if the side skirts are supposed to look dull, both the driver and passenger side skirts are dull. Like a semi-gloss finish.

The sound of the motor is awesome, I'm hoping I can get the dealer plate for the E30 meet. Don't wanna officially put it on the road till next spring.

I tried to get a video and pics last night, picked up new cheapy batteries and they were dead out of the package
