Meh, I avg. 11-12L/100km in the Audi. The joy it brings playing with the power on tap far outweighs the negatives of paying for high test @ the pumps.

don't buy that pack of smokes or fast food for that week and you've haven't really lost much.

and for the record, i daily drive my m3 all year round avg'ing 11L per 100km and i fill up a tank every week. or sometimes a bit more.

Last I calculated (fill, drive, fill, GPS for distance) at an average speed of 120 - 130 I was averaging 7.2L/100. I was stuck in traffic a few times, so without getting stuck in traffic and cruising at a slower speed, I have no doubts I'd be in the high 6's.

That almost gets me in the 40mpg club.

I must say that in strictly city driving, it's nowhere near that efficient. I usually spend about $20 a week.

Haha, full throttle on cruises, granny style 99% of the time otherwise. Funny thing is, even driving it all out (on country roads) it won't pass 10L/100km, usually at 9-9.5 after a cruise.
