Your thoughts on led signal lights

I am looking to purchase either some Solaris invisible bulbs or the LED type from ebay. Has anyone purchased either or have any recommendations?

Hey Eric,

It was nice to see u yesterday. Anyways, the LED turn signal bulbs, u also need to install relays in the wiring cause the LEDs consume less wattage than the regular bulbs.

Another thing, when u get the LED bulbs, u should get the one consists of a few small LED bulbs that pointing into different directions because LED light output only pointing toward one light direction. So by getting the one that consists of a few small LED bulbs, it will reflect lights towards the back of the person behind u and also toward the relflector inside the tailight housing.

If u need help doin the resistors, just hit me up.

i have led turn signals on my e36. I went with white (they look like HID) and they look amazing.

As stated they operate on less power, so to the car it acts as if the bulb is burned out so it blinks faster, but it still blinks so i just left mine rather then do more work.

The bulbs i got were off ebay and each one has like 15 lil led bulbs pointing in all directions.

i also have white led's in my fender turns.

The whites a lil hard to see during the day when its sunny, but meh it looks awesome at night.

Be extra careful with your blinkers since they're bright white and those are illegal Cause the last time I got pulled over, the officer asked me to turn on my emergency light which were AMBER so they couldn't do anything.

white isn't illegal... neither is purple, pink, yellow, or orange.
blue/red/green in Ontario is illegal. i've asked, and been pulled over for colored angel eyes before.

White itself is not illegal. But it is illegal in your blinkers.

I think we got confused about two different things. I was talking about front turn signals, not rears (which is what the quote applys to.).. and you're right, tail turns have to be amber, or red.

The front turn signals (and reflectors) on my 77 Grand Prix, and many Buicks and Oldsmobiles are white.
