I bowed down to the will of the people. :-) Wish i'd seen this post first. I uploaded an Image Gallery and then the single images to my Oldy Moldy website and tried to link them (attach) to my previous post but I kept getting "Invalid File" errors. So I loaded them as single images from my computer. Seems to work.

Please see my thread "Active Autowerks Supercharger..." for full details. I wanted to keep this thread about modding and not make it into an anti-AA thread. Or anti-ANYTHING thread. ;-)

But i'll give you this quote from Phil Calloway (one of AA's many reps on the internet) which he posted on a large, popular website ....
Begin Quote: "Karl retracted his original offer because of the matter in which you have decide to handle things on this board." EndQuote.

Phil/AA refers to a bogus offer that Karl made to fix my car if I would send it to FLA (3K miles away) at my sole risk and expense (app $5K US).

AA post all over the Net how they're willing to help if I would just call them. But they can't (and haven't) denied the facts. I can provide you w/URLs to their posts on other sites. I didn't think it appropriate to do so here w/o Moderator permission.

"Slow shifting" is a design flaw that cannot be fixed .... as AA's JMWeb has admitted (finally).
The unacceptable power surge at 4200RPM is fixable if i'm willing to pay AA to tune my software (individual tuning is listed on AA"s site @ $1500.00 US).
The EXTREME engine overheating on Track Days (even in mild weather) and enigine overheating during mild weather while driving the car normally appear to be caused by three factors:
1) The kit locks air flow to the motor.
2) The kit generates a greet deal of heat.
3) The kit doesn't provide enough cooling.

Fixes for engine overheating would cost a MINIMUM of $4600.00 US w/o ANY guarantee that the car would NOT overheat on Track Days.

BTW, I didn't need and would NEVER have purchased the SC kit if AA hadn't lied to me and insisted that it would work for my express purposes.

ROugh operation (shifting, throttle management, etc) in general must be addressed individually w/tuning (Reminder: $1500.00 each time plus DA Shipping both ways each time, plus a dead vehicle for a minimum of 3 working days, all at my expense, w/no guarantees, from liars and cheaters)

I've been dealing w/them for a few years now. Treated me well all that time. That's why I bought my 05 ZCP from them.

Since the shop was sold to the present owner they've had lots of personnel issues. But always treated me well. The probs began in earnest when Mr. Okesson resigned abruptly and Gail Sebastian (just hired and obviously inexperienced) took over.

I still await word from them in re coming to an agreement. I won't hold my breath.

If you mean from AA: No products automatically carry State and Federal warranties of merchantability. AA provide a two year warranty w/the kit. But warranties are meaningless if voided the issuer (by deed or in fact) unless one files suit.

If you mean BMWofE .... nope. The warranty work they did (failed to do in one case) was not charged to me after I complained. But they then overcharged me by app $170.00. Which coincidentally(?) was close to the amount they wnated to charge me for the warrranty work in the first place.

I still think you mean AA: The answer from AA was a resounding NO!

Either I ship my car to FLA; or i'm screwed. Well, i'm screwed either way, but why send my car to liars and cheaters and unjustly enrich them further?

This is getting long. I'll reply to this in another post.

Thx will post rims and detail shots ASAP.

To the mods. I hope the pic sizes are ok. Don't want to fill your site w/junk.

[QUOTE=Woofer]Do you have yellow HID's? or yellow bulbs
Nope. It's an unintended optical illusion. Caused by the unique lighting siituation. The poor light was one reason why I didn't like these shots.

Thx. It's a work in progress. And mor for "Go" than for "Show" so it's not as cool looking as many cars on this site and others i've seen.

But as long as the rear looks cool, right? that's all I intend to show folks.

Peace,

Ronin.
