looking for advice

so i have a '93 320I and for some reason it will crank but it wont start. It has spark and fueland it has good compression. Furthermore, the day before it would start but it wouldn't go above 300 rpm and it sounded horrible. Im thinking it might be a head gasket but i dont know for sure. any advice???

What do you mean by it got fuel? You got fuel in the gas tank or you actually got fuel delivery?

As for the head gasket, you wouldn't have a good compression with a bad one.
