Did you sell close to your asking price?

Why did you replace the engine bearings? Preventative or it became an issue?

I sold for asking price (I had two people who wanted it).

The bearings and connecting rods were replaced strictly for preventative maintenance reasons.

All M?s are subject to the rod bearing issue it?s only a matter of when. I sold another E46 M3 just last fall that had almost 150k and still running on the original rod bearings without any signs of excess wear.

Get your oil tested and start a log. It?s really the only way to keep on top of any wear.
