non-working exterior door handle

has anyone replaced their door handles before? driver side stopped working. how much of a pain is it to replace and how much would it cost in parts?

Does it just feel like it isn't pulling the cable far enough? I had a similar issue in my car this past summer. I sprayed lubricant anywhere i could - in the latch, on the door, and in the handle and lock chamber.

After a number of uses the door handle, the feel and operation came back to normal, and it remains fine to this day.
