E90 335d A266426

XE8 Piano black interior
752 BMW Individual Sound system

How many E9x's (gas, diesel or otherwise) had either of those options for full production run of the E9x's?

Thank you

23 - 2009-2011 BMW 335d Sedan Automatic (PN73) - NA painted in Blue Water Metallic (896) with Saddle Brown Dakota Leather (LCD3) interior were built for the US market.

None were built for the Canadian market.

The most rare option in this car is the option SXE8A - Indi. Int. piano lacquer, black, tarsia. It was installed on 5 out of 10,816 cars.

158 out of 10,816 had S541A - Active Cruise Control
331 out of 10,816 had S752A - Individual audio system

There are over 60 different US/Canadian spec E9x's. It would take me too much time going through each and every model.

Thank you.

When I ordered it I was told that it was the first E90 with piano black. Not sure if that was true.

Anyway, this one took me some time to get and decide on the color:

A778680

I'm betting that the color is quite rare. It's also one of the 5 that has piano black.

I see Canadian E90s with it that were built with it before this car, but not seeing anything in the US. Checked 335i and M3s

Thanks for the info.

Funny I would have thought the most rare thing about that car was the color. I'd be very surprised if there were any others and I'm not just talking 335d's.

How many custom color orders were there and what colors are they?

Anyway here it is and the other one.

Cheers!

You misunderstood my post. The "the most rare option" only refers to the physical options like sound systems, wood trim, lights, etc. Anything that starts with the letter S or P and ends with the letter A. The exterior colors and upholstery are not considered there.

This is the only Mistral Blue BMW in the US/Canada. Therefore I assume the attached image is of your car as well, correct?

There is a Mistral Blue pre-LCI E92 M3 in UK and LCI E92 M3 in Germany.

The only other Mistral Blue I have information on is an LCI F10 M550d. I believe it's somewhere in Austria.

Where is this color from anyway?

I figured that's what you meant when you were talking about options but wasn't sure.

The Bluewater 335d was mine (now owned by my niece). The Mistral Blue is a car i ordered for a close friend. I personally spec'd the car and took delivery of it. BMW recommended Mistral Blue to me actually. We were looking for something similar to Estoril and they sent me a pic of the LCI E92 M3. Was not a great pic so I had to hunt down color to find an accurate sample. It's more of a pure blue and can be described as a somewhat "electric blue."

Funny enough, this is originally a Mercedes color. When I was at BMW ///M (Garching) a couple of years ago they had pre-painted samples and Mistral Blue was actually one of them.

Only 4 total cars in that color is pretty impressive!

Let's try ey83782

S502 is somewhat unique for the U.S.

SA 488 is probably pretty rare?

Probably was a pre-LCI M3. 335d in Mistral pre-dates LCI M3 by almost 2 years. The pre-LCI M3 was built 6 months before the 335d.

Keep in mind I only have a few eurospec models in the database. There are most likely more Mistal BMWs out there. The complete stats I can only provide for M, M Performance models and US/Canada spec models.

2 - 1996-1999 BMW M3 Coupe (BG93) - NA painted in Estoril Blue Metallic (335) with Special Upholstery (Z1XX) interior were built for the US market.

None were built for the Canadian market.

The most rare option in this car is the option S502A - Headlight cleaning system. It was installed on 159 out of 11,793 cars.

So this triggered Individual interior because it's a Mulberry interior without Vaders but with lumbar support seats?

The other Individual interior Estoril is N5TT without Vaders as well. No lumbar on that one.

As for the headlight washers. There were 9 US-spec cars with them. 7 of those are pre-production models. The other production US-spec M3 is a full Individual car as well. Avus blue color with Grey Montana seats, but with the black interior. It also has a carbon fiber trim.

https://bmwmregistry.com/detail.php?id=1143

Lumbar support SA488 was not available with sport seats on E36. So it was never an option on the M3. There are 13 E36 M3 in the world with lumbar support. One of them is this thing.

You've done the Li version of this, I believe; but can't find the standard wheelbase version. So how about DT13918? Thank you in advance for any info you can provide.

Cheers,

Bill
