x3 M40i 'chip'

Hey guys,

I wanted to get a *safe* boost in power for my x3 m40i. What's the recommended path for this? JB4? What's the best shop to get this sort of upgrade done? Is it easy to remove/reinstall?

Piggyback tunes are easy to install. You want 2 connectors to monitor boost and fuel.

“Safe” is a relative term.

Some piggyback tunes just artificially crank boost, and force the ECU to compensate, usually running lean.

I have one from CPA for my diesel. German, but an office in the US with excellent customer service.

Research on line order a kit, and put it in yourself. Easy plug and play.

Bootmod3 is currently working on tuning your vehicle. Once they release the tune, you can do it easily yourself, just need a cable and a laptop with internet connection. https://www.protuningfreaks.com/collections/bootmod3
