That black / red convertible is HAAWT.

I have a red interior myself, so I'm biased... If you're not sure about it, don't get it, you don't want to be kicking yourself in the nuts each time you get into the car. That said, it looks awesome!

As for 335 VS SL, I'd go for the 3er. I've always thought SL500 would make a nice car for my mother

If ya can swing either, though, can't really go wrong. Good luck with whatever ya choose.

do not get the SL it is no where near as fun to drive, i believe it has the "auto stick" which is basically for posers. If I was you i'd order one and wait. I know the 2 months will be excruciating but hey in the long run what 2 months when u get the exact car you want to every specification

SL has WAY more presence in the street than a regular 3'r...plus with a few mods the SL will be a freaking god!

God of ... plush slushboxes? If we were talking SL55, I'd agree, otherwise... boring

SL500 is a quick car.
The auto box works just fine with its big motor.
Gotta have the Sport Package on it though to get the AMG skirts and wheels.

SL definately has more status than the 3. But the 3 will probably be more fun to drive. (faster and handles better)

Depends on what he wants.

I agree with you Julian the 335 cab looks funky with the top up. And if its your daily driver the top will be up 90% of the time anyway.

Rendered if you are planning on getting a convertible STRONGLY consider if you like it with the top up because it may get old fast, well it would for me, Since you look at your car every day lol.

Also I would consider the maintenance issues with the top. Sure you have the warranty but how reliable would that top be once the warranty is up since its a first year production run?

That said. I particularly like the coupe because you still get the sunroof and its cheaper and probably more fun to drive if you drive them back to back, but wouldn't make much of a difference if you use the car as an every day grocery getter.

Colors are a matter of personal opinion so Im sure you can figure it out..
