0-60 on the E46 328i is 6.4 seconds BTW. Around 5.8-6.1 for the 330i. Power mods on the 328i are easy too, headers/intake/exhaust/software are actually really effective.

so are on the 330......

No, they are not.

Particularly in the case of the headers/exhaust and software. The M52TU exhaust system is pathetic, guys are seeing 15-25hp gains with eBay headers and new cat backs. BMW also tuned the M52TU very conservatively, they see very nice gains from software mods (the stock M54 mapping was more aggressive).

I'm against a crowd of 330 owners though, so I'll shutup now. Just trying to let the buyer know the benefits of a 328.

sounds like a bunch of 330 owners don't want to be told they spent ALOT more money for nothing

I'm guessing Mystikal is the only 1 vote (as of now)?

Does that mean the 328i comes close to 222hp?
Whereas the 330i is 225hp...

Isn't the 2000 more prone to subframe failures than the 2001s (or was that 1999s)?

I'd look at the price difference between the two and then rationalize which I would rather have. Do you have 2 specific ones in mind? What are the asking prices?

If the price difference is no more than a couple grand (or maybe $3K-$4K) I'd go for the newer, more powerful car (01 330 as opposed to the 00 328). For a $10K difference for example the 328 would be my pick.

Hope this helps.
