Yes, they are emo or indie. I listen to them. "Digital Ash in a Digital Urn" and "I'm Wide Awake, Its Morning" are good with Digital ash being more rock and upbeat and I'm wide awake, its morning is acoustic and more emo sounding. Some of their older stuff doesn't sound as catchy or mainstream as those two albums but Fevers and Mirrors is also a good album by them

I actually have all his CDs LOL Fevers and Mirrors is the best IMO. I also have Desaparecidos CD, its like him screaming in all the songs, so its more of a rock feel. I'm trying to get the commander venus CD currently.

But yea I love Bright Eyes because its so straight forward and everything is about depression, drugs, and loneliness, and it has so much feeling in it. I love it because it feels so real and I can relate unlike all emo rock bands that seem pretty fake about their songs but I still enjoy listening to them too.

I dont know how to say it but their songs are just amazing, it's like the songs are just so powerful, most rock bands the tunes are just catchy, but when you listen to Bright Eyes it's like god damn...it makes you think and cope with experiences.
