HOWEVER, while i have access to the back of the engine, is there anything i can check for? Leaky seals, and any common problem item?

The wizards at Bimmerheaven if you could shine some light here id appreciate it!

---update---
was suggested to change the crankshaft seal as well as the water jacket right above it.
i looks like the coolant collector is leaking as well....wondering if i should mess with that
Pretty much like it was suggested earlier, do ALL the seals and gaskets that you can find! You don't want to do the job twice!

That's what I ended up deciding actually. Just waiting for the kits to come in but I'm gonna change everything with the exception of upper oil pan and lower timing cases.
Ps, where did you guys source a shifter boot cover for the 7?

So at this point I'm waiting on a TONNE of parts to come in so theres not a whole lot i can do.
I've dropped front and rear hubs at machine shop to get my brakes fitted. Hopefully it'll actually happen this time.
The car currently sits like this:

no brakes, no hubs, no shocks, no transmission, drivehshaft or exhaust lol

Also fully deleted the SLS in order to clean up things in the rear end. OCD, what can i say lol

after much searching i was able to source charcoal foam reeeeeeeeeally cheap locally. wish i had more room to label the sockets but I'm more than happy with this.
ill be doing my screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, and other misc tools.
