Exactly.

Just saying. No passing rule means the excuse of "I have to tailgate or else I get passed" is no longer valid. Stay back, stop ruining your front bumper, and enjoy the cruise.
When I went on the truenorth cruise last year "the cool guys" were using shoulders to pass and picking up debris while doing so, shi* went flying regardless of distance. So never again with those guys

I'd be interested in coming out, I guess I'll just stay at the back though since I'm a newbie.

The convenient part about their cool guys is that the vinyl wraps and/or stripes make it easier to single them out afterwards when I'm sending them home.

Newbies are always welcome! Hang out in the back at least for the first few legs so you can see how the group works (or doesn't work) together. The adrenaline of being in the middle or front can be overwhelming for a first timer.

Jay is totally right on his advice... Stay back and get used to things. I was the same for the Fall cruise... I was the newbie but by midway was right in the thick of things.

Come on out and enjoy! I'm definitely stoked for the Spring Cruise.

The fall cruise was my first, and to me it went super well. I gotta echo everyone else though.

There's no reason for your car to get sprayed. If there's less than a car length between you and another car, you're doing it wrong. It's a spirited cruise on some great and scenic roads. We aren't competing on a track. There are things called "track days" for that.

In 3 hours of driving, there was only one time my little 328 wasn't able to keep up. So I tossed my signal on and let the guy behind me pass. Problem solved.

I'm sure Jay will do more than enough explaining of the driver etiquette expected on the cruise when the time comes. Like he said, sit back and enjoy.

See you all there!

I'm tempted to bring my wrx because I don't plan on having it much longer, and it muuuuch faster than my 328. But in the spirit of BMW, I'll probably stick to the e36.

There was footage from a previous thread, I think it was the fall cruise from a couple years ago... a couple of asshats were using merge lanes for passing etc. There was a lot of discussion on that. One guy almost wound up in an accident outside Orillia doing that. Don't be one of those people... and don't expect to stay welcome on the cruise if you are. We're out to have a good fun time. Bad driving ruins it for all.

QFT. Everyone else is excited that it's going to be warm and sunny for the next week and a half. I want a few good rainstorms first!

you guys worry about salt too much. rain washes it away quickly, and if you're really worried just wash the undercarriage.

might be time for me to hit a cruise, been two years i think. not sure about 2 wheels or 4.
