Thinking of buying 1999 323i convertible

Im looking for a ?mid-life crisis? car and have seen a 1999 323i for $2200. Looks to be in excellent shape (based on photos) with 100k km. This will be a summer car for myself. I have little experience with used cars and none with bmw. Who has useful advice and is willing to share? Thanks!

I know that! Lol...

The mileage is extremely low.... could be a good find, could be trouble.
Other similar cars are well into 240 +
Get the car to an independent to check it out.
Carfax.

Also beware that 323's were Canada only (not US) and europe so some parts can be a bit harder to find used or new online....

The 323 is a fairly bare bones machine compared to a 325 or 328 (depending on year)
