Absolutely no way. I've got a '97 328iS, and my buddy just bought the new Cooper S. I drove it, and it's a pretty fun little car, plenty of pep, and handles well. It's way too small though. You can't fit anything or anyone in it. I don't like the quality of the interior either...I find it cheap and nasty. The one thing that really bothered me was how far away the windshield is from the really threw me off for some reason. I'm pretty tall, so I felt really cramped in it. In my opinion, it's a bad investment right now...they're selling very high right now while the fad is hot. In a few years, they won't be worth much...just like what happened to the new beetles. My car is faster, comparable in handling, more roomy, put together much better using better materials, and will hold its value. Hands down my car wins...obviously no bias here!

I wouldn't do it, but price for price a 97 M3 would be a fairer trade. Good like with the trade.
"Driving is like a narcotic, an addiction that can take over lives. It ruins people, breaks families apart, and even kills. It’s habit that needs to be fueled. Time, money, rationality, sweat, knuckle skin, and anyone who disapproves are of little importance to a driver, and are often overlooked. Hi, I’m Nelson, and I’m a drivaholic."
