Btw not the best picture because it was taken right under the aircraft. It looks better when taken from a side angle. Than again, I am new to SLR world so all good.
FYI, the lens I'm talking about is a constant aperture zoom lens. Much more money than the non-constant zooms, but worth every penny if you need it (low light action is what I use mine for). Grab a nifty fifty, play around with it, and you will see. Bokeh will have you addicted.

Lens cap doesn't clip on anywhere. Just put it in your pocket. You should check out the following websites, lots of good info, should keep you busy reading for a couple weeks:
