Clunking in the rear

So i have some noise coming from the rear of the car and clunks after every bump. My thoughts are the rear shocks are done! They are the stock ones on a 60mm drop. Any other ideas?

Thanks

Matt

+1, shocks mounts are pooched, get E46 mounts or the ones that turner motorsports sells, with replaceable bushings.

Also, how is your car not bottoming out the shock every time you hit a bump? 60mm is way to big a drop for the stock shock. Or conversly, it is bottoming out the stock shock so the shock mount is taking the complete force of the impact and may will probably be putting all that into the shock towers themselves...
