88' 535i e28 with e34 Megan Racing Coilovers

i know there are a few different options for coilovers on the e28 but i am a huge fan of the megan racing euro street coilovers that i installed on my e34. and at 800 bucks im very pleased. so this is my way of trying to contribute another option for coilovers for the e28

megan racing doesnt make a set of coilovers for the e28 but i know the two suspension setups are pretty similar so im going to take some measurments and do some research into seeing the this setup will work, i do plan on having this car really low as it wont be a daily driver.

i havent checked to see if the e28 and e34 strut mounts use the same bolt pattern to attach to the strut tower on the front and back but if they do the front swap is as easy as cutting the strut housings and welding in the new inserts from the megans. and the rears are a bolt in upgrade, i hope all goes well and want this car to be lower then my e34!!

It should be almost a direct fit, E34 and E28 use same spindles, so you should be able swap directly.

I can't be exact as I do not have neither car, but from making brakes for those 2 we know as fact that the spindles are almost identical, although the retaining nut was smaller on the E28 or vice versa.

But the top mount should be the same at the front, do not know about the rears, experiment will be needed.

To save money on my build i decieded to go with something different!, i am swaping my 540i front strut housings into my e28, the top strut mounts are the same bolt pattern on the fronts, i have yet to try the rears, i will be running oem style shocks with h/r sports!, ill post pics soon

Edit::::::: also the three bolts on the bottom of the e34 strut housings are larger then the e28's, so i will be swaping the lower strut plate for my e34 aswell as control arms
