Id say you should just sign with rogers. What do you have to loose? I have a pretty damn good plan because i always ask for more.. i tell them i will quit so you talk to retentions and they usually give you pretty crazy deals.

Phone wise i have the Bold 2, i'm confused as to why no one mentioned it yet unless im missing something. The screen is amazing, keyboard, bbm, internet, etc.

First rule of retentions, we don't talk about retentions.

I'd like some suggestions for phones with a good screen. Here's what I've found out so far.

iPhone 4 - clear winner in screen resolution @ 960x640.

Some supposedly good phones have shitty screens with PenTile subpixel arrangement. This means a WVGA (800x480) isn't actually, because there aren't 3 subpixels per pixel, they only have 2. Apparently it gives grays a hue, and there's a "raster" effect for the whole image, and text is harder to see. Phones using this include Google (HTC) Nexus one, Samsung Galaxy S, HTC Desire. This makes these phones a no-go for me.

That only leaves a few options with a true resolution screen. iPhone 4, HTC HD2, Motorola Droid, droid2? droid x?

Suggestions?

I have always liked Black Berry never had any problems with them that's what I would go with or get the Iphone. It all depends on what you like if your like me and like a key board then the Black Berry is the way to go but if you want a touch screen phone then get the Iphone in my opinion they are the 2 best smart phones on the market.

A read on the Motorola Droid X, in comparison to HTC EVO 4G and Dell Streak.

http://www.tested.com/news/motorola-...ll-streak/439/

I'm starting to like what Motorola is offering: the Droid (a little older), Droid 2 and X (2 and X are similar and most recent). An 854x480 resolution (only rivaled by iphone4) and no stupid pentile subpixel arrangement + android so about 1000x more customizable than the apple software.

I think you're worried about nothing (screen res)... I've seen the Galaxy S in persona nd played with it. It's screen is beautiful. People that have seen the Desire in person say the same (and technically is worse then the Galaxy).

The Iphone (any gen) is so vanilla IMO.

I think I'm going to grab the Desire over the Galaxy due to the OS.

And to whom ever mentioned the BB... you're right, if you want a no frills, solid phone with crappy web/internet capabilities get the Bold 2. It's what I have now. Phone wise it's great... email, BBM, the camera are all great... but that's about it. It leaves a lot to be desired in terms of web/multimedia.

You should really go out and just play with a live demo. I'm willing to bet you won't be able to tell the difference on these screens with the PenTile pixels. I've played with the Galaxy S and the screen is phenomenal.

The Galaxy is locked down driver wise... you cannot modify the OS like you can with the Desire or other Android phones (like put different ROM's on etc).

Also the Galaxy while having a nice screen, is HUGE. It's just a tad too big IMO for most occasions. Sure it's nice to have lots of screen real estate, putting something like that into your pocket, meh.
