Brake light circuit - "Check Control"
i was driving around and the check control light comes on my 328is... the control computer said
"brake light circuit failure - check manual"
or something like that ... i restarted the car and it went away..
this is the second time it's done that!
anyone know what could cause this?

it could be something as simple as a loose or burnt out bulb, or as complicated as a broken wire in the loom that goes to the tail lights.
I'd check each of the bulbs first and replace any with a broken filament

Brake pedal switch, don't change it until the brake circuit message stays on consistantly.

i had the same problem long time ago on mine, but it was still under warranty so they fixed it for free. but i forgot what exactly was broken.
and if a bulb burns out it says which one it is. i just had to replace my brake bulb a week ago.

i've gotten this message twice so far a couple years ago. the first time i had to replace the brake bulbs, and second was the brake light switch. both were under warranty though.

Hey 325iSBimmer,
yes, my M Double Spokes are staggered. they are 225/45/17 front and 245/40/17 rear. Fronts are 7.5" wide, while the rears are 8.5" wide.
i don't know why mine look bigger, but i'm sure they are the same size, since they are both OEM.
here's a closer shot of my rims.... maybe its just the angle of your pic. that throws it off....

Naw, it's the fact that 325iSBimmer's car doesn't look like it's lowered yet. Once it's lowered, the wheels will tend to look larger (optical illusion )
