Did you spill any on your shoes?
i once stepped in what i thought was a puddle at the gas station...well it sure was a puddle, a puddle of petrol!
My mats soaked it up and it wreaked like gasoline for days until i realized where it was comming from and then i remembered the gas station!

hopefully for your sake it's nothing serious (knock on wood)

RE: gas smell

In your trunk you have access to your feul pump under your spare ..Check the gasket around it might hve a bit getting in there when you fill your car all the way up..also some cars filler tube clamp gets loose and when you turn a corner hard or fill the car too full you can smell gas

if u have access try to drop the tank and check the sending unit on the top see if its leaking from there , if u have access from the trunk or the backseat check there first.

there is nothing wrong with your car...what you are experiencing is perfectly normal....nex time you fill up only fill it half way...i bet you the smell wont be there....i cant remember the reasoning for , but its perfectly normal...

thanks

thanks for the suggestions everyone.

There's no access to my fuel pump or anything from my trunk,or my back seat. going to have to bite the bullet get under the car...should be time to change the oil anyway.
unfortunatly filling the tank half way wont work for me drive back and forth brampton and oakville a couple times a day i'd have to top up everyday.lol oh well keep my fingers crossed its only a clamp or something small.
