My idea... I want feedback!

Sooo... This is an idea that I have been stuck on for a while and I really need to know if I am being realistic about it or just being stupid!

If I were to get my stickey fingers on a Saab 95 turbo and an intercooler (Dont ask me how but just know that its possible...) would it be possible to use it in my car to create some boost and jump the horses on my 540i?
Its a v8... I know I will probably need some custom tubing but other than that what costs would I be looking at?
What happens with the compression ratio and things like that?

Just tell me if I am thinking like an idiot if I am... Even that would be helpful!

You'd have to get somebody to design a kit for you.
on a v8 powered car, you're probably better off with a supercharger. See if you can pickup a vortech supercharger (as that's what i see most commonly on bmw s/c kits) and find a place to adapt it to your car. The other option is getting a $1000 nitrous system and having some fun with that. No need to go fast ALL the time =)
