Okay guys...radio debate

I am thinking of buying the business CD from someone cuz mine is done. However, there are conflicting ideas on whether it will work. The manual says there are no codes but when I talked to my buddy at BMW, he said that you require the code in the radio book. Has anyone ever done this???

There are no codes on the e46. The radio comes with a code, but there is no way to set it that I could see.

You'll need the code. You need to call your BMW dealership with the serial number of the radio. They'll be able to look up your code.
